Wayfaring
formerly known as Agility
Path-running with stamina, shortcuts, and obstacle XP. The world becomes faster the more you train.
Wayfaring is Tideward's agility trade — renamed from "Agility" in May 2026 because that was too RuneScape-specific. Run courses across the map; clear obstacles for XP; gain unlocks that shorten your travel times across the entire game. The skill that genuinely changes how every other skill plays — a high-Wayfaring character moves through the world with muscle memory the early-game player doesn't have.
How Wayfaring works
Wayfaring courses are designated paths through the world map — each obstacle (jump, swing, climb, balance) has a level requirement and an XP value. Running a full course gives a completion bonus on top of per-obstacle XP. Higher-level courses have more obstacles, harder failure penalties (small damage, brief stuns), and bigger XP per lap.
The deeper game is in shortcuts. Wayfaring level unlocks specific shortcuts scattered across the world — a rope-swing here, a low wall climb there, a steep cliff descent in the high-level zone. Each shortcut you unlock permanently shaves real-world seconds off your travel time. By the time you've maxed Wayfaring, the map you used to need teleports for is just shorter walks.
For active play, Wayfaring is one of the most engaged skills — running a course requires occasional attention to avoid mass failure. For AFK, lower-difficulty courses with easier obstacles let you grind XP while away. The genre's genuine quality-of-life skill.
Inputs
- A Wayfaring course of appropriate level
- Stamina (regenerates passively)
- Optional: Stamina potions (from Apothecary)
Outputs
- Wayfaring XP
- Permanent shortcut unlocks
- Marks of grace (currency for Wayfaring-specific gear)
Tips for training Wayfaring
- Each shortcut you unlock saves real-world seconds for the rest of the game. Train Wayfaring early for compounding QoL.
- Stamina potions extend the per-session run length significantly. Stockpile a few for long Wayfaring sessions.
- Some Pilfering routes require Wayfaring shortcuts. Train both together if you're building a stealth character.
- Marks of Grace (rare drop while running) buy Graceful gear — reduces weight and aids stamina across the game.
- A high-Wayfaring character who teleports rarely is faster than a low-Wayfaring character who teleports constantly.

Frequently asked about Wayfaring
Why renamed from Agility?
"Agility" is too closely associated with RuneScape's skill of the same name in the same App Store category. "Wayfaring" was chosen during the May 2026 rebrand — same path-running mechanic, more descriptive name.
Can I AFK Wayfaring?
Yes, with caveats. Lower-difficulty courses where you don't fail often run for full sessions; higher-difficulty courses (where mass failure is possible) need more active attention.
What are Marks of Grace?
Rare drops while running courses. Spend them on Graceful armour pieces — reduces weight, increases stamina regeneration, useful across the entire game.
